Dear colleagues around the world: we got the sad news that Ruth Redmond, known to many in the Dalcroze world by her maiden name, Stewart, is no longer with us. Please read the obituary of John Habron in our "in memoriam" section.
John writes further:
"There will be a special roundtable to remember Ruth at the 4th International Conference of Dalcroze Studies (ICDS4), on Tuesday 30 July 2019. The panel includes Ruth’s step-daughter Jo Redmond, fellow graduate Rosemary Gammell, and two of her past students. An artistic tribute will end the session: the music, Fryderyk Chopin´s Etude in A flat major, op.25 No. 1, will be performed by Adalberto Riva. The movement is a reconstruction of a piece devised by Marcela Hildebrandt-Pruska, performed by Teresa Nowak and a group of Dalcroze teachers from across Poland. More details here."
