DALCROZE UK OFFERS YOU A FREE ONE-DAY WORKSHOP ONLINE: How to sell yourself and Dalcroze

Dear European Dalcroze Colleagues,

Do you find it hard enrolling new people for Dalcroze classes, Dalcroze training, courses and summer schools? Do you find it hard persuading them of the value of Dalcroze?

Recently, during one of the UKs online Zoom Café sessions, Nick Bottini (musician, life coach and Dalcroze UK trustee) asked us to consider who we are as we try to persuade others to try the Dalcroze work. What the enrolment experience is like and how people pick up on the feeling of the person trying to persuade them. How to think about Dalcroze as a ‘service’ rather than something to ‘sell’. He talked about asking what the person wants to achieve for themselves, their pupils and how we need to listen to what is behind their words and intentions. Once we know this, then we can show them what we can offer them to help. It all starts with one-to-one conversations.

Dalcroze UK is offering a free one-day workshop online to teach you how to promote Dalcroze and yourself as a Dalcroze teacher. Nick has offered to run this one-day course whether you are a member of Dalcroze UK or not and whether you are in the UK or not. It will be English and will not be recorded. The date is to be decided but we will try to run it at a time to suit as many people from across Europe as possible. If you interested to know more and have Dalcroze colleagues or friends teaching Dalcroze in private practice or can think of others who may be interested please email Jacqueline Vann, Director of Projects, Dalcroze UK at: dop@dalcroze.org.uk

Let’s get talking. Let’s started spreading Dalcroze more effectively both nationally and internationally.
