CREATIVITY OR VISIONARY IMAGINATION & DISCOVERY 19 (C.O.V.I.D.19)
The project “Creativity Or Visionary Imagination & Discovery 19” is an artistic project proposed by the FIER. How have the different Eurythmics associations and societies of Eurhythmics throughout the world reacted pedagogically and artistically to this unprecedented pandemic episode? How does the creative element nourish pedagogical reflection? Some associations or societies have chosen to create something for the occasion, or to present elements designed by its members during different phases of restrictions.
Below, we will be able to see some videos and files sent by some associations from differents countries. This project remains open and videos or documents will be added as they are submitted.

THE SEAS OF THE MOON (I MARI DELLA LUNA)
Poem by Gianni Rodari and music by Tullio Visioli
An experience through movement, creativity and composition as a tribute to Gianni Rodari. These Activities were carried out in distance learning mode during the lockdown between March and May 2020 with 6-9 years old kids.
This project has been selected by INDIRE – Buone Pratiche- Risorse per la Musica a Scuola: http://musicascuola.indire.it/index.php?action=vedi_singola_esperienza_stu&id_scheda=1941
DESCRIPTION
The project we are presenting involved groups of kids from 6 to 9 years old that study music through “Dalcroze Eurhythmics” and voice/choir training in our school “Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio” with Giuseppina Mastrorilli and Giada De Fabritiis, Tullio Visioli and Livia Cangialosi.
The activities have been placed between march and may 2020.
- During the online lessons we kept the classes of the children divided as it was before the lockdown, forcing us to find different materials and equipment related to other disciplines, thus arriving at an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and multimodal work. It was also an opportunity to listen to music of various styles, with short pieces by Debussy, Beethoven, M. Monk, Hindemith, Camel.
We asked the parents to prepare their kids´ room by arranging a mat in front of the computer camera so as to see the body movement on the entire carpet.
The teachers used previously prepared posters, or rather writing programs with screen, sharing blackboard, and – through the enabling of participants – extemporaneous and music writing programs (as sound trap, muses score, flat.io).
The skills to be developed were selected from the program for each group.
CHOIR engaged in the realization of the song “I mari della Luna” by Gianni Rodari and music of T. Visioli;
RITMICA A (6-7 years old), engaged in the acquisition and realization of the Slow beat;
RITMICA B (7-8 years old), engaged in the acquisition, realization and reading-writing of the recurrent rhythms (the one containing the syncope and other two);
COSTRUZIONI MUSICALI (8-10 years old), engaged in:
Experimentation of the 5 sounds of the minor scale, with original elaborations.
Reading and writing the melodic phrases in the song and elaboration.
Instrumental performance on a backtrack.
All enriched by “translations” in drawings or sounds imaginatively “aggregated” of perceived sensations.
LA CANZONE DELLA NATURA – THE SONG OF NATURE
By Laura D’Ippolito.
“Virtual chorus” remotely sung by children, based on their own original lyrics and illustrated by their drawings.
This work was carried out by a fifth year class in the primary school of Mazzano Romano in the province of Rome. Immediately before the lockdown, the children, in groups, had reinvented the lyrics of a well-known song (La Pigrizia by Tullio Visioli) on the subject of respect for nature. During the lockdown, each child sent me an audio recording of his/her own voice singing with piano accompaniment, which I then sent completely re-harmonized. With their overlapping audio tracks, a virtual choir was created. Subsequently, the children expressed in words and drawings the emotions aroused by listening to the choir (which was a surprise for them …). The images they produced were pulled together with the audio to form the video “The Song of Nature”.
Credits: lyrics by children in 5th year class; melody “La Pigrizia” by Tullio Visioli; arrangement, editing and teaching Laura D’Ippolito
