Equally applicable to the classroom, private studio, beginner or advanced performers, this holistic approach to musical understanding and creativity, complements traditional avenues of study and practice. Students will discover creative applications in their own work and can participate at Levels 1, 2, or 3 as they work toward Dalcroze Certification.

49th Summer Dalcroze Eurhythmics Workshop

Both The One-Week and Three-Week Workshops offer performers, conductors, music educators (preschool through college), studio teachers, music therapists and movement specialists practical applications of the Dalcroze principles to performance and teaching. Classes in both workshops are offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
The One-Week Workshop is an introductory course for newcomers and a refresher course for those who have had previous experience in the Dalcroze approach.
The Three-Week Workshop is designed for those participants interested in pursuing the Dalcroze Certificate as well as for those who would like the most in-depth experience in the Dalcroze approach. For those interested in pursuing the Dalcroze Certificate during the summer, a minimum of six weeks summer study (18 units) must be successfully completed before applicants are eligible to take the required exams for the Dalcroze Certificate.

Our 2024 License d’Enseignement Program on the Monocacy Manor Campus, Bethlehem, completes its two-year cycle while Certificate Programs Levels One, Two, and Three advance. License Candidates take online courses B in solfège and piano improvisation before beginning the on-campus residency. These Candidates will participate in a three-week residence with three—to four-hour daily eurhythmics lessons and solfège and improvisation reviews. License Candidates will complete all practicums in pedagogy and plastique animée. Candidates at all levels participate in personal examinations in eurhythmics, solfège, and improvisation before a jury of qualified Jaques-Dalcroze educators. info@jdalcroze.com
Dalcroze Summer Intensive at Kaufman Music Center

August 5 – August 16, 2024.
The Summer Intensive offers adult students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Dalcroze method, which includes studying rhythm, pitch and harmony through creative movement and physical, vocal and instrumental improvisation. Summer Intensive classes can lead to Dalcroze certification at the Certificate and License levels. Exams are offered at the end of the second week.
